A Year at a Glance at MMAP

As we approach the final days of the Persian Solar Calendar, the MMAP team takes this opportunity to reflect on the past year and look ahead. Over the past year, we have made progress toward our goals, marked by memories and achievements, all of which have become even more meaningful by your unwavering support and encouragement.
We are delighted that over the past year, through various events, MMAP hosted more than 700 guests from the visual arts community at its private showroom, collaborated with over 50 artists and their galleries, provided personalized services to more than 20 independent artists, participated in joint projects with 10 galleries, and engaged with collectors, researchers, independent curators, and other professionals in the visual arts ecosystem. In doing so, we have taken meaningful steps toward strengthening and building the essential infrastructure.
Additionally, the services provided in consulting, collection management, archiving and documentation, research, content creation and translation, curatorial practices, art project management, artist representation and education departments, respectively, were the most time-intensive disciplines at MMAP.
Our activities last year began with training courses and the recruitment of new staff in the spring, followed by our relocation to a new space during the warmest days of the year. The fall season saw the formation of new collaborations, numerous meetings, exhibitions, and visits, as well as a group trip to carry out a project outside the capital. By mid-winter, we welcomed a new member to our team. Additionally, we expanded our joint ventures in related fields such as design and photography, laying the groundwork for growth in the coming year and beyond. Despite the ups and downs, the year concluded on a sweet note for the members of MMAP, marked by the presence of guests, attending the end-of-year gathering at MMAP’s private showroom.
Building on the achievements of the past year and looking forward to the days ahead, we remain committed in the coming year to fulfilling our obligations, rooted in our values and interestswithin the visual arts. We firmly believe that both the journey and the destination are never attainable alone, and we emphasize the value of collaboration and teamwork in the cultural and artistic realms, as well as the powerful impact of synergy in driving greater accomplishments.
We are convinced that the trust and presence of our audience and colleagues are our greatest assets and driving force on this journey, as we reach out to experts in the field. In our view, collaborating on projects, forming new relationships, and participating in events or talks are all crucial in their own right and will further strengthen our resolve as we work toward our future goals.
Drawing strength from our past successes, we have mapped out a path for the future and remain committed to moving forward with determination in the coming year.

Wishing you a joyful holiday and a happy New Year,
Maryam Majd Art Projects Team
