As part of Raoof Dashti’s solo exhibition “Curtain Call”, Maryam Majd Art Projects (MMAP) organized a guided tour led by the artist and the curator.
The tour took place on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Pejman Foundation: Argo Factory and brought together a group of art enthusiasts for an hour-long visit. During the event, the artist Raoof Dashti and curator Maryam Majd shared insights into the creation of the works and the curatorial process behind “Curtain Call.”
In collaboration with Pejman Foundation: Argo Factory, MMAP presented Raoof Dashti’s solo exhibition “Curtain Call” in May 2025. Marking his fifth solo show, the exhibition featured three video works and eighteen photographs. In this body of work, Raoof Dashti draws on the visual language of theater to explore themes of identity, visibility, and personal narrative within regulated cultural frameworks.
Raoof Dashti (b. 1984, Ahvaz) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Tehran. He holds a B.A. in Painting from Shahed Art University and works primarily with photography and video. With a background in puppet theater and playwriting, his practice is rooted in storytelling through the creative use of objects, exploring the relationship between narrative, memory, and self-representation.
Maryam Majd is the founding director of Maryam Majd Art Projects (MMAP) and the director of Assar Art Gallery. She works as an artistic director and research-based curator across various fields of contemporary art.
