Research, Content Creation & Translation

Maryam Majd Art Projects (MMAP), in line with its core objectives and with the aim of clarifying practical concepts that have so far received little attention in Persian-language sources, has made the creation of original, reliable content and the development of efficient, sustainable infrastructures a key ongoing internal project. One of the main outcomes of this initiative is the production and publication of accessible content through the MMAP Blog, made available to anyone interested.

The MMAP Blog is an active platform designed to address topics based on the essential needs of members and stakeholders within the visual arts ecosystem. Drawing on the extensive professional experience of MMAP’s team in the field of visual arts, and their close understanding of the existing gaps in defining roles and responsibilities within this ecosystem, we have built this initiative around the presentation of fundamental discussions in straightforward language, delivered in a guidebook-like format. This approach allows us not only to generate content relevant to our field of work but also to take meaningful steps toward the educational role we envision for ourselves.

To date, the articles published on the blog have explored topics such as the general concept of artist representation and, more specifically, the collaboration between artists and galleries; the role of the archive as the heart of research and curatorial practice; and the management of private art collections with aims that go beyond simple organization and documentation. In the future, we plan to cover subjects such as the necessary infrastructures that support curatorial practice, as well as related concepts, definitions, and practical methods.
